Celebrate Life originally began as a 6-month social media campaign in the city of Toronto, Ontario.  As a volunteer initiative, our objective was to raise a minimum of $100,000 of in-kind and/or monetary donations.  Our goal was to celebrate life by gifting 20 inspiring people living with or having survived cancer that were willing to share their experiences to empower others.

The Celebrate Life project was introduced on ‘National Cancer Survivor’s Day, June 2, 2013.  Since then, people from different parts of the world have taken an interest in the significance of uniting all cancer ribbons into one.  A greater objective has been identified and we have honourably embraced our new direction.

As a result, we tailored the campaign to focus on developing a global forum of people, companies and communities with the purpose to unite and empower everyone affected by cancer.  Bringing everyone under one umbrella to share information, stories, hope and inspiration made complete sense to us.  In today’s information sharing world, our main goal has now been inspired to develop Celebrate Life into a global outreach in which people will have the accessibility to important information, knowledge, resources, and much more with ease.

What was first introduced as a 6-month social media campaign, is now a focus on raising $100,000 worth of monetary and in-kind donations to build awareness and show the strength of community involvement on a global scale.  Our team of volunteers is growing and has developed leaders who have been affected by cancer including survivors, care givers and people living with cancer.   Drawing from their personal experiences, they are able to connect on a personal level and assist those affected with various types of cancer.  It is because of their leadership and will to help others that the Celebrate Life page continues to grow.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to our team:  Randy Cramer and his wife Vicky Cramer, Paul Legler, Alli Minarik and Raymund Ong.  To hear more about their stories, please visit our page and feel free to introduce yourselves.  Celebrate Life is open to everyone who sees our vision and the value of sharing it with others in a meaningful and positive way.  If you are interested in getting involved please contact us today at volunteer@celebratelifeproject.com
